Overhaul, maintenance and safety actions in historic cars 409-809-507 of FGC

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) awards Tradinsa the overhaul, maintenance and safety actions in historic motor vehicles 409-809-507.

Tradinsa proceeded to maintain the aesthetics of the unit, using materials and components equivalent to the originals. The project includes repair of bumps and deformations of the cars; Review and repair of the damaged structure (frame and sheet); Review, repair and commissioning of bogies, electrical and pneumatic installation, brake mechanism…; Replacement and repair of the affected interior design elements (coverings, seats, windows, doors …) and roof; Painted exterior of the train; Modernizations for safety improvements in the historic automotives in electrical, pneumatic and various installations.

Once the maintenance is finished, in November 2019 the historic cars are delivered to FGC.
