Tradinsa Repair History Brill-301 of 1921 for FGC

Ferrocarril de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) awarded to Tradinsa the repair of the damages of the historic train Brill-301 of 1921 that had suffered an accident at the FGC workshops in Rubí (Barcelona) in April 2015.  In the accident, the historic train received a hit to the front that caused structural and aesthetic damages.

Tradinsa proceeded to the repair and rehabilitation maintaining the esthetics of the unit, using materials and components equivalent to the originals. The project includes repair the blows and deformations in the frontal and the stops of the rail car; Overhaul and repair of damaged structure (frame and sheet); Overhaul, repair and adjustment of the affected components, such as bogie, coupling, electrical and pneumatic installation, brake mechanism …; Replacement and repair of the affected interior elements (flooring, coverings, seats, glass, doors …) and roof; and painted the exterior of the vehicle.

Once finished with the repair of these damages, in November 2016, the historic rail car has been delivered to FGC.
